I look like this when I am exhausted
My name is Caleb Phillips. My sole proprietorship is named "Small White Cube" under which I do IT Consulting (and lots of other, similar things). The derivation of this name is entirely utilitarian: it is easy to pronounce, remember, spell, and the domain name was available. I grew up in Portland, Oregon and nowadays live in Boulder, Colorado. I graduated from the Maseeh School of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University. While there, I was involved in research related to wireless networking under Prof. Suresh Singh between March, 2006 and August, 2007. I am currently working on my Ph.D. at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I was an active volunteer for the Personal Telco Project, being both its Director of Education and a member of the Network Operations Team. I have many hobbies, most of which are either athletic or are computer related. Ikeep up an informal, online resume and a list of academic publications.

Rock climbing makes me happy
This website serves as a hub for personal and professional content. Its wiki is quickly becoming the location for most new (and useful) information. The index page hosts a blog, which I periodically use as something of a journal. The photo gallery has a boat-load of pictures from various adventures. Besides smallwhitecube.com, you can also get here via largeblackvoid.com (the smallwhitecube alter ego). This website is hosted on my miniture web-host, Open Hand Hosting. It is written in PHP and tends to be mostly compliant with relevant open-standards. This is the 4th generation of my personal website.
